Wash your Hands!

Hello students, thank you for participating in our experiment.  Below are pictures of the plates.  Bacteria or mold from your hands will show up as a round spot on the plate.  Several plates have cracked agar, this is from too much pressure when you touched the agar.

Many plates show growth on the “after” washing side.  Why do you think this is?

When surgeons wash their hands they spend a long time lathering & scrubbing.  Why do you think this is done?

The important thing when washing your hands is the amount of time your hands stay soapy.  Generally the longer the better!  Keep asking questions & washing your hands!
