Rodney Hunt Continuous Rotary Vacuum Evaporator

            This evaporator is made from type 316 stainless steel. It is a vacuum evaporator for the concentration of heat sensitive fruit juices. Juice is thrown continuously from the rotor to a heated shell in a thin turbulent film, concentrating juice to high solids content in a few seconds.

Components:

            Vertical Cylinder: 3” diam. x 19” long

            Steam Jacket: Heat transfer area of about 1 ft²

Vertical Rotor: 8 blades, revolves at a normal operating speed of 3600 rpm (Range= 1650-6500 rpm)
