Wiley Mill Model 1

The Wiley Mill is used for the reduction of analytical samples. This mill prepares materials for analysis with minimal moisture loss. Well-dried samples are preferred. Revolving hard tool steel knives work against stationary knives. The fan effect of the knives provides increased throughput and quick clearing of the chamber. A sliding stainless steel plate at the base of the hopper allows for control of the feeding rate. There is a dowel pin at the throat to secure the hopper tightly. Several sieves are available, and are easily interchangeable. Because the Wiley Mill is securely attached to a cart, a stainless steel bin is used under the mill to collect the product.

Hopper: The top dimensions of the hopper are 6” x 5.5” x 6” deep.

Sieves: 0.457, 1,2,3,4, and 5 mm brass sieves.

Drive: 1 HP motor, 1720 rpm
